My opinion is, based on the videotapes, that after the airplanes hit the World Trade Center there were some explosive devices inside the buildings that caused the towers to collapse.Wie is Van Romero? Van is voormalig directeur van het EMRTC en heeft erg veel verstand van bommen en granaten. Op het EMRTC doet men niks anders dan het laten ontploffen van allerlei dingen. Zo gaf hij in 1997 ook een presentatie met het onderwerp: 'Terrorist Bombs: The Characteristic of 'Non-ideal' Explosives' voor de American Society of Civil Engineers, Architectural Engineering Division. Aan zijn carriëre te zien lijkt hij nogal een autoriteit op dit gebied. Toch komt hij binnen 10 dagen terug op zijn eerste vermoeden, zonder verder enig commentaar:

[...]Heeft hij ingezien dat zijn opmerking totale onzin is, en zich met schaamte in zijn schulp teruggetrokken, of is hij herinnerd aan het feit dat er na 9/11 in de VS een nieuwe realiteit geldt? Zulk een veronderstelling is voor Alt-f4 nogal onwerkbaar, dus laten we eens proberen dit dilemma van een geheel andere hoek te benaderen. Wat hebben andere mensen gezien op 9/11?

FOX news anchor live om 10 uur, als toren 2 als eerste instort
- Het instorten van toren 2 wordt vooraf gegaan door drie zware explosies aan de basis van de toren. Seconden na explosie drie begint de toren te vallen.
- Vooraf, en tijdens het vallen worden er 'mitrailleur'-achtige explosie-savo's gezien over rijen van verdiepingen heen, beneden de inslagplek.
"Battalion Seven ... Ladder 15, we've got two isolated pockets of fire. We should be able to knock it down with two lines. Radio that, 78th floor numerous 10-45 Code Ones."

Dat lijken niet echt brandweerlui die de controle over de situatie kwijt zijn geraakt. Er dienen immers nog steeds twee vuurtjes geblust te worden.
Terug naar onze Van Romero. In het originele artikel in de Albuquerque Journal meldde hij dat zich dat hij zich baseerde op wat hij op TV had gezien op die dag. De meeste van bovenstaande getuigenissen waren toen nog niet boven water gekomen. Als expert dacht hij nog wat verder van zich af:
The detonation of bombs within the towers is consistent with a common terrorist strategy, Romero said. "One of the things terrorist events are noted for is a diversionary attack and secondary device," Romero said. Attackers detonate an initial, diversionary explosion that attracts emergency personnel to the scene, then detonate a second explosion, he said. Romero said that if his scenario is correct, the diversionary attack would have been the collision of the planes into the towers.
Genoeg aanknopingspunten voor een serieus onderzoek, zou men zeggen. Hoe curieus dan dat er op dit moment nog steeds een 'gag order' van kracht is voor alle brandweerlui van de FDNY, voor alles wat ze op die dag gezien hebben.

Toegift: een getuigenverslag uit de Cambridge Evening News over de bomaanslagen in Londen 2 weken terug:
"When I woke up and looked around I saw darkness, smoke and wreckage. It took a while to realise where I was and what was going on... " He and Crystal were helped out of the carriage. As they made their way out, a policeman pointed out where the bomb had been.(Doe hier uw voordeel mee; van Londen blijf ik nog even af.)
The policeman said 'mind that hole, that's where the bomb was'. The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train. They seem to think the bomb was left in a bag, but I don't remember anybody being where the bomb was, or any bag," he said.
